2. General information

This privacy policy describes the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data on the website vldservice.ch, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nFADP, in force since 01.09.2023) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This is a static website: it does not use server-side web applications or databases to render pages. No automatic user profiles are created.

3. Data collected when visiting the website

3.1 Server log files

The web server automatically records the following information on each access:

• IP address of the requesting device
• Date and time of access
• Name and URL of the requested file
• Website from which access was made (referrer URL)
• Browser and operating system used
• Data volume transferred and HTTP status code

This data is processed solely to ensure the smooth operation of the website and system security. It is not shared with third parties. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Art. 31 nFADP). Log files are generally deleted after 30 days.

3.2 Fonts

This website uses self-hosted fonts (Inter). Font files are loaded directly from our own server — no requests are sent to Google Fonts or other external services. No data is transmitted to third parties.

3.3 Videos

Videos on this website are hosted exclusively on our own server and embedded via HTML5. No videos are loaded from external platforms (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo). No personal data is transmitted to third parties during playback.

3.4 Link to Google Maps

The contact page contains a link to Google Maps. Google LLC's service opens in a new tab only after the user actively clicks the link. Until then, no data is transmitted to Google. After clicking, Google's privacy policy applies.

4. Contact via email or phone

Data submitted when contacting us (name, email address, phone number, message content) is used solely to process your enquiry and is not shared with third parties without consent. Legal basis: contract initiation or performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data is deleted once the enquiry has been fully processed, subject to statutory retention obligations.

5. Live Chat

This website offers a live chat function for direct communication with our team. The chat is only activated when you interact with the chat icon (hover or click). Before this interaction, no data is transmitted to the chat server.

When you use the chat, the following data is processed:

• Name (provided by you)
• Phone number (optional, provided by you)
• Message content
• IP address
• Message timestamps

Chat communication is handled via our own server (vldportal.ovh, hosted by OVHcloud, France/EU). No data is shared with third parties. The server sets a technical session cookie (Secure, HttpOnly) for chat functionality. The WebSocket connection for real-time messages runs through the same server.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in efficient customer communication (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Art. 31 nFADP). Chat conversations are automatically deleted after 90 days, unless there is an ongoing business relationship.

6. Cookies

This website uses analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only after the user's explicit consent. A consent banner is displayed on the first visit. Without your consent, no cookies are set and no data is transmitted to third parties. Any technical session cookies generated by the browser itself contain no personal data.

7. Analytics and tracking

This website uses the following services for website usage analysis — only after explicit consent via the cookie banner:

• Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) — statistical analysis. IP address is transmitted in anonymised form.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) — heatmaps and session recordings to improve usability. No personal profiles are created.
• Leadfeeder (Dealfront GmbH) — identification of companies (not individuals) visiting the website, based on IP address.

No data is shared with advertising providers. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke your consent at any time by clearing your browser data.

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy when required by changes in legislation or extensions to the website. The current version is always available on this page.
